they were going to break my water at the hospital that morning if he didn't come out by then

but he wanted to be born at home! on a shower curtain on our bed. 8hrs painful crampy pre labor, 30 min. excruciating active labor (Paul said I looked demon possessed. I was so exhausted. I was praying so hard for strength, and a healthy baby, I was expecting it to continue several more hours), then I thought I was pooping! but it was his head! midwife got there 5 min before he crowned and he was out 20 min later. so fast! tore me up quite a bit. I'm sore but recovering well

he is the sweetest. oh man.

 

we are so so thankful.

Paul caught his head and the midwife hiked him to me - ha, lil football-

 

my first words were, you're alive!!!!
and man i dont know if I've ever felt such depths of emotion
she said, that was so quick!
me: you're a genius!!

we have a lil genius on our hands. I've always known that. watch out world!!

 

i'd do it all over again!  siblings are awesome
